As part of the Mothers' Union celebrations of 150 years of its work supporting famlies around the world, Peterborough Cathedral held a service to mark the occasion on Mary Sumner Day.
Thank you to Hilary, Liz and Jill for representing Uppingham and Belton.
Mary Sumner (1828–1921) was a social reformer who founded the Mothers’ Union creating locally-based support groups for mothers which evolved to become an international movement promoting family life, child welfare and women’s rights.
